The Pet Pal was established in Beaufort in 1996. Owned by Alecia Williams, the service provides professional in -home pet care for cats, dogs, birds and a variety of other pets.
 
Many owners are aware that not all pets may be comfortable being boarded while they are away, and the Pet Pal offers an alternative to these pet owners. Keeping a pet in it's own familiar environment will be less stressful for the animal, especially if he is older or requires special attention.
 
Alecia is experienced with giving most types of medications, and special needs pets are treated with extra care.
 
Alecia is also a Certified Canine Massage Therapist, and the massage therapy may be scheduled by special appointment.
 
 
In 2002, The Pet Pal was nominated (by clients),and selected as one of the Top five finalists for the annual Pet Sitter of the Year award given by Pet Sitters International.
